SUDER The cap color of plastic bottles in Turkey does not indicate the type and content of water

Yaşabey Kalebaşı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SUDER, stated that the cap colors of plastic bottles in Turkey do not indicate the type and content of water and made a statement regarding the disinformation of cap color on social media.

The Association of Packaged Water Producers (SUDER) made a statement following recent posts on some social media accounts claiming that plastic bottle cap colors change according to the type of water.

SUDER Chairman of the Board of Directors Yaşabey Kalebaşı, who clarified the issue upon creating information pollution among consumers, said: “Packaged water types in Turkey have different qualities such as ‘natural mineral water’, ‘natural spring water’ and ‘drinking water’. The type of water is indicated on the label on the plastic bottles. The claims shared on various social media tools that the colors of the caps reflect the type of water do not reflect the truth.
