House prices declined in the Eurozone

House prices in the Eurozone fell by 0.4 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of the year.

The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) announced data on house prices in the first quarter of 2024 in EU countries.

According to the data, house prices in the Eurozone fell 0.4 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2023. House prices also fell by 0.1 percent compared to the previous quarter.

In the EU, house prices increased by 1.3 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year and 0.4 percent compared to the previous quarter.

In the first quarter, house prices decreased by 10.9 percent in Luxembourg, 5.7 percent in Germany, 4.8 percent in France, 4.3 percent in Finland, 3 percent in Slovakia, 2.2 percent in Austria, and 1.6 percent in Sweden.
