Improvement in the market’s inflation expectations
According to the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s survey, market participants’ 12-month-ahead CPI forecast fell from 28.71 percent in August to 27.49 percent in September.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s (CBRT) survey showed that the market’s inflation expectations continued to improve.
According to the survey of market participants, the 12-month-ahead inflation expectation fell to 27.49 percent in September. In the previous survey, this expectation was determined as 28.71 percent.
Inflation expectations for the end of the year showed a moderate decline. The year-end inflation expectation, which was 43.31 percent in the previous survey, decreased to 43.14 percent in the September survey.
The 24-month-ahead inflation expectation decreased from 19.30 percent to 18.38 percent in the same survey period.
